Omuro-ke: Dear Friends Anime Movie – Main Visual

This is the second movie from the Omure-ke manga spin-off, with the first one titled Omuro-ke: Dear Sisters premiering on February 2. Studio Passione and Studio Lings are animating both films, with Naoyuki Tatsuwa directing. Masahiro Yokotani is the scriptwriter, Kazuyuki Ueda is the character designer, and Yusuke Shirato is composing the music.

Omure-ke is a manga spin-off of the YuruYuri manga series, which is written and illustrated by Namori. The spin-off began releasing on Nico Nico Seiga in July 2012. Meanwhile, the original manga series began serialization in Ichijinsha’s Comic Yuri Hime S magazine from June 2008, before being moved over to Comic Yuri Hime in September 2010.

JManga, which previously licensed the YuruYuri series before the service was discontinued, described the plot as:
Four mischievous girls illegally occupy the former Traditional Tea Ceremony clubroom, in order to create the “Amusement Club.” These scamps…who ignore repeated warnings—in direct rebellion with the righteous directives of the Student Council—decide to remain in the room until they finally get off their bums and do something! In this slightly sluggish manga, full of fits and starts, the four girls set off from their homes for a walk together with days full of a little this and that!♪

The series had three anime seasons: the first one airing from July to September 2011, the second one airing from July to September 2012, and the third airing from October to December 2015. It also got two OVAS, released on November 2014 and April 2018, respectively. It then got an original net animation series from DMM.Futureworks and W-Toon Studio in September 2019, composed of four episodes.
