The movie Omuro-ke is based on a spin-off web manga of YuruYuri, written and illustrated by Namori. It currently has 6 volumes in circulation. The original manga of the series was initially serialized in Ichijinsha’s Comic Yuri Hime S magazine in 2008 before being moved over to Comic Yuri Hime in September 2010. It inspired a TV anime with Doga Kobo animating the first two seasons while TYO Animations handled the third one. An OVA by studio Lay-duce was released in 2019 to celebrate the manga’s tenth anniversary.
