On Tuesday, the agency of the Japanese rock band, ONE OK ROCK has announced that the bandleader and guitarist Toru Yamashita has tested positive for the new coronavirus disease (COVID-19). The announcement stated that Toru Yamashita had woken up with both a fever and chills on Monday morning, and had a PCR test on the same day, which revealed that he was infected with the coronavirus disease.
Toru Yamashita is currently hospitalized in Tokyo and is in stable condition. The band’s agency confirmed that the other band members (Takahiro “Taka” Moriuchi, Ryota Kohama, Tomoya Kanki) have not been in close contact with Toru recently, and they also confirmed that they are in good condition.
We would like to remind everyone to stay indoors and always wear a mask and sanitize and we also wish for Toru’s recovery.
