Oshi no Ko Season 2 has revealed the preview images and video for episode 5, which is titled “Opening.” Kazuma Ogasawara (Kageki Shoujo!! episode 2 director) is directing the episode with Yasuhiro Irie (Saint Cecilia and Pastor Lawrence opening) doing the storyboard. Jin Tanaka (Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club) is responsible for writing the script for the episode slated to release on Wednesday, July 31.
Studio Doga Kobo (Shikimori’s Not Just a Cutie) is animating the sequel while Daisuke Hiramaki (Selection Project) returns as director and Saori Tachibana (Wasteful Days of High School Girls) as assistant director. Kana Hirayama (Rent-A-Girlfriend) is the character designer.
GEMN is performing the opening song “Fatal” while Hitsujibungaku is singing the anime’s ending theme song “Burning.” The cast reprised their roles:

- Takeo Otsuka as Aquamarine Hoshino
- Yurie Igoma as Ruby Hoshino
- Megumi Han as Kana Arima
- Manaka Iwami as Akane Kurokawa

The TV anime adaptation is based on the manga series written by Aka Akasaka (Kaguya-sama: Love is War) and illustrated by Mengo Yokari (Scum’s Wish). Shueisha’s Weekly Young Jump has been serializing the series since April 2020. HIDIVE is streaming the first season and they describe it as:
