Originally released in 2008 for PlayStation 2, Persona 4 is set in the quiet rural town of Inaba. The story follows a group of high school students who become involved in a chain of serial murders linked to a mysterious world inside television screens. The game combines turn-based combat with life simulation, social bonding, and psychological themes.

The new version is a remake separate from Persona 4 Golden, the enhanced edition of the original game currently available on Xbox, PC, and other platforms.

ATLUS and SEGA recetently revealed a new trailer and details for Persona 5: The Phantom X, the latest title in the Persona 5 series. It launches on June 26, 2025.
