The upcoming Play It Cool, Guys anime has released a new visual and trailer, as well as a premiere date of October 10. Studio Pierrot is animating the series, with Kon Chiaki as the director. The trailer also features the opening theme “Seishun Kippu”, performed by Mafumafu.
Additional cast members have been announced as well, namely:e

- Kohei Amasaki as Aoyama
- Satomi Sato as Asami Futami
- Seiichiro Yamashita as Kida
- Yo Taichi as Akane Kono
- Taku Yashiro as Kurosaki
- Haruka Shiraishi as Momo Momosaki
- Kazuyuki Okitsu as Sota Shiki
Previously-announced main cast members include Koki Uchiyama as Shun Futami, Chiaki Kobayashi as Hayate Ichikura, Shoya Chiba as Soma Shiki, and Yuichiro Umehara as Takayuki Mima. Eri Taguchi is doing character designs, while Makoto Uezu is in charge of series composition, and Masato Nakayama is composing the music.
Play It Cool, Guys is based on a web manga series written and illustrated by Kokone Nata. It started off as a series if illustrations by the author before being serialized on Pixiv in February 2019 as a web manga. It was then picked up by Square Enix and serialized in Gangan Comics Pixiv.
Yen Press has licensed the manga in English, describing the plot as:
Enter: a group of cool guys who seem like they’ve got that unapproachable swag. But look closer and you’ll find a bunch of dorks who’ve gotten the act down pat. So sit back, grab some popcorn, and enjoy watching these clumsy dudes try to look cool all day, every day.
