Part 2 of the six-part anime film series Princess Principal: Crown Handler will be premiering on September 23, 2021. Moreover, the film will be screening in 46 theaters throughout Japan. Also, additional characters and a new key visual and trailer were revealed.
Cast & Production
Aoi Koga will be voicing Ange along with Akira Sekine as Princess. Meanwhile, Yō Taichi will voice Dorothy and Akari Kageyama as Beatrice. Lastly, Nozomi Furuki will be lending her voice to Chise.
Also, the newly added characters for the sequel of the film series are Edward, Mary, and Richard.
Masaki Tachibana will be directing the six-part film at studio ACTAS. Meanwhile, Noboru Kimura is supervising and writing the scripts. Kouhaku Kuroboshi will be in charge of the original character designs, and Yukie Akiya will be adapting the designs for animation.
Also, Kimitake Nishio will be the sole chief animation director while Yuki Kajiura (Fate/Zero) is composing the music with sound director Yoshikazu Iwanami.
Princess Principal TV Anime
The original TV anime Princess Principal is a prequel to the ongoing six-part anime film series Princess Principal: Crown Handler. The story is set in 19th century London with 5 girls who serve as undercover spies. They keep active in the underground world of disguise, espionage, infiltration, and car chases by utilizing their individual abilities.
Synopsis
A new weapon called the “Caverlite Bomb” is so powerful that it can sink a battleship with a single shot. The Republic succeeded in developing it before the Kingdom, but someone stole the three bombs that were put to practical use and brought them to the Kingdom.
Meanwhile, in the Kingdom, Prince Richard, the third in line to the throne, has returned from the New World. Along with Prince Edward, the first in line to the throne, Princess Mary, the second in line to the throne, and the fourth in line to the throne – the heirs to the throne gather in London.
London is abuzz with the triumphant return of the young prince, but in the middle of the homecoming parade, Richard got shot by an unknown assailant. As the chaos begins, Control assigns Team White Dove the task of searching for and recovering the Caverlite bomb and its control device. Angel, Dorothy, and Chise head to the home of the man suspected to have been in the bomb theft…
