Reincarnation in the Game World Dankatsu Anime Reveals Teaser, January 2027 Release

Reincarnation in the Game World: Dankatsu TV anime will officially begin airing in January 2027. A teaser visual and trailer were also revealed, along with the main staff and first voice cast member.

Yuto Uemura (Thorfinn in Vinland Saga, Atsushi Nakajima in Bungo Stray Dogs) will voice Zephyrus. Uemura said he found the premise of entering a beloved game and living freely as its protagonist particularly interesting, adding that he hopes to show Zephyrus’ enthusiasm for finally experiencing Dankatsu for real. You can hear Uemura as the character in the first promotional video (PV) below.

The anime is directed by Nagisa Miyazaki, with Yuji Kobayashi handling series composition and script. STUDIO MASSKET is in charge of the animation production.

Reincarnation in the Game World: Dan-Katsu is a Japanese light novel series by Kaede Nishikigi, with illustrations by Shuri. It first appeared on Kakuyomu in January 2021 before being published by TO Books in March 2022. The series has also received a manga adaptation illustrated by Hiroshi Asagi, which began serialization on Corona EX in April 2022.
