ONE PIECE DAY ’25, the fourth annual celebration of the franchise, took place at Tokyo Big Sight over the past weekend, bringing along two days of exhibitions, performances, and announcements. Organized by Bandai Namco Entertainment, Shueisha, and Toei Animation, the event featured stage programs streamed globally via the official ONE PIECE YouTube channel with simultaneous English translation for the main parts.
Main Stage Highlights
Surprise Appearance by Iñaki Godoy
The stage program began with live performances by Hiroshi Kitadani, known for multiple anime opening themes. Actor Iñaki Godoy, who plays Monkey D. Luffy in the Netflix live-action adaptation, joined the stage after a staged video call with voice actor Kappei Yamaguchi.
Godoy presented a preview of ONE PIECE Season 2: Into the Grand Line, scheduled for release in 2026, and also confirmed the series has been renewed for a third season.
Egghead Arc Voice Cast Performance
Voice actors from the ongoing Egghead Arc, including Akemi Okamura (Nami), Kappei Yamaguchi (Usopp), Hiroaki Hirata (Sanji), Ikue Ohtani (Chopper), Yuriko Yamaguchi (Robin), Katsuhisa Hoki (Jinbe), and Reiko Takagi (Bonney), performed key scenes live, including Luffy’s famous “end of dream” moment and the flashback between Kuma and Bonney. The cast also discussed behind-the-scenes experiences, with Takagi noting she was moved to tears upon first reading the script.
ONE PIECE: HEROINES Anime Adaptation
An anime adaptation for the One Piece: Heroines novel of was announced, accompanied by a key visual. The novel is written by Jun Esaka and features illustrations by Sayaka Suwa. It has two volumes spanning 8 chapters (along with an extra chapter in each volume), with each one focusing on a different heroine.
Knowledge King Finals
The 7th ONE PIECE Knowledge King Finals: Paramount War was held during the event, with semifinals on August 9 and the championship won by Kyan, a repeat high-ranking competitor. In an emotional speech, Kyan expressed gratitude and affection for the series.
After the semifinals, attendees saw the premiere of ONE PIECE in LOVE: FESTIVAL EVE SPECIAL, adapted from Chapter 159 and released on Shonen Jump+ on August 7.

Special Live Concert
The ONE PIECE DAY’25 Special Live concert featured Hiroshi Kitadani, muque, and CHAMELEON LIME WHOOPIEPIE performing opening and ending themes. GRe4N BOYZ, artists behind the EGGHEAD Arc opening “ANGEL & DEVIL,” appeared via video message and requested Kitadani to perform their song. Muque performed “The 1” and “carnival,” while CHAMELEON LIME WHOOPIEPIE debuted their “PUNKS” and performed “Crush Style.”
The finale included Kitadani’s “OVER THE TOP” and “ONE DAY,” followed by a group performance of “We Are!” with the Egghead Arc cast, Godoy, and the other guests. Mayumi Tanaka, the voice of Luffy, delivered a closing video message ending with the line, “You all are my NAKAMA!!”
Exhibition Hall Features
Elbah Arc Exhibit
Visitors were greeted by a 7-meter-tall balloon of Prince Loki, marking the entrance to the Episode of ELBAPH exhibit. Inside, reproduced illustrations and 3D displays depicted scenes from the arc.
LEGO ONE PIECE Exhibit
A booth designed to resemble the Going Merry displayed brick recreations of scenes from the Netflix live-action series, including Shanks giving Luffy his straw hat. The area included a mosaic-building activity, Transponder snail prop, and themed photo spots.

ONE PIECE BASE SHOP Preview
Ahead of its winter opening, the flagship store’s booth showcased upcoming products and the new CHOPPER’s project, which imagines the character living in the real world. Promotional giveaways included exclusive clear photo cards and bandages for social media followers.
FAV Card Lounge
Attendees received “FAV” cards to showcase their favorite characters. In the lounge, fans who formed groups of three with the same favorite character received exclusive stickers, encouraging interaction between attendees.
Additional Attractions
3D Sound Theater – Dolby Atmos experience of ONE PIECE LOG: FISH-MAN ISLAND SAGA.
Immersive Photo Spot – Photo sets allowing fans to pose as characters.
Character Greetings – Mascot appearances of Luffy and Chopper, plus a handshake event with Hiroshi Kitadani.
Bounty Rush Zone – 4v4 interactive battles and life-sized character panels styled after the Bounty Rush game.
Toy & Hobby World – Early showcases from Bandai, BANDAI SPIRITS, and MegaHouse, including the latest “LUFFY’s” figure line and entries for the upcoming ONE PIECE World Figure Colosseum. A 30-meter wall allowed visitors to contribute to a collaborative fan art piece.
Card Game Exhibition – Oversized displays and on-site booster pack sales from a large vending machine.
Gashapon Corner – Limited and early-release capsule toys, including the “ONEPI NO MI” series.
Venue Mission – A scavenger-style search for 1,400 characters hidden throughout the venue.
