The previously announced Rent a Girlfriend Season 5 unveiled a key visual and April 2026 premiere date on Thursday. The visual features Mami Nanami and Chizuru Ichinose in their swimsuits.
Kazuomi Koga is directing the series at TMS Entertainment. Mitsutaka Hirota is writing the series composition. Crunchyroll is streaming the anime, and they describe it as follows:
Kinoshita Kazuya is a 20-year-old failure of a college student. He managed to kiss his girlfriend once, but was dumped after a month. “Ugh… Damn it. I never want to go through that again.”

The Rent a Girlfriend anime is based on a manga written and illustrated by Reiji Miyajima. It has been serialized in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine since July 2017. Kodansha USA publishes the manga in English.
