Rock is a Lady’s Modesty manga is officially getting a TV anime adaptation, with the release date set for 2025. The announcement was followed by a celebratory illustration from the author, Hiroshi Fukuda.

The Rock is a Lady’s Modesty manga by Hiroshi Fukuda has been serialized in Young Animal (Hakusensha) since October 2022. There are four released volumes, with the fifth one set to release on July 29, 2024. The story follows Ririsa Suzunomiya, a girl who becomes the daughter of a real estate tycoon through her mother’s remarriage. She is forced to abandon her guitar and emotions to live a constrained life as a ‘proper lady,’ Ririsa meets Otowa Kurogane, a virtuoso drummer attending the same prestigious girls’ school. Together, they rekindle Ririsa’s passion for rock music and dive into band activities.
Other recent anime about girls in a rock band have been Bocchi the Rock!, BanG Dream! It’s MyGO!!!!! and Girls Band Cry.
