Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian (Roshidere) anime was voted as the best anime again in week 5 of the Summer 2024 ranking, making it three wins so far. Its previous wins were the first two weeks. It continues to live up to its title of the most anticipated new anime, ranking over OSHI NO KO Season 2 and Days With My Stepsister. Doga Kobo is animating.
This time, Roshidere took 8.15% of the votes, getting a 2.69% increase following the last episode. Behind it was OSHI NO KO with an ‘entire’ 1% less. You can check out the top 10 graphic below.
Summer 2024 – Top 10 Anime of Week 5 | Roshidere Ranks First
The anime is based on a light novel written by SunSunSun and illustrated by Momoco. The novel was initially published online as two short stories on the self-publishing website Shosetsuka ni Naro in May 2020. It was later acquired by Kadokawa Shoten’s Kadokawa Sneaker Bunko imprint in 2021.
Kodansha’s Magazine Pocket is serializing the manga adaptation by Saho Tenamachi, which was launched in October 2022. Yen Press licensed the novel in English.
Official synopsis:
Alya-san, who sits next to Masachika Kuze, always gives him the cold shoulder.
However, she sometimes blurts out a few flirtatious words to him in Russian.
