The upcoming slice-of-life anime Saint Cecilia and Pastor Lawrence revealed a visual and preview at Aniplex Online Fest 2022. The cast includes Kaito Ishikawa, who will voice the overprotective and slow-witted Pastor Lawrence and Sawada Hime, who will play the saint who’s secretly in love, Cecilia. The anime is slated to air in April 2023.
Doga Kobo is producing the series with Sumie Noro (Sleepy Princess in the Demon Castle) acting as director. Yuka Yamada (Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid) is writing the scripts and Nakagawa Hiromi (WATATEN: An Angel Flew Down to Me) is doing the character designs.

The anime is adapted from the manga series by Kazutake Hazano. It has been serialized in Kodansha’s Shonen Magazine R online magazine since 2017 and it currently has 10 volumes in circulation. Kodansha is licensing the series in English and describes the first volume as:
Saint Cecilia is beloved by the townspeople—not only is she elegant and composed, she benevolently shares her wisdom with all who seek it. That is, until the last person has left—at which point she becomes totally hopeless! Only Pastor Lawrence, is keeping the Saint put together enough to do her duties…and though she may test him, it’s all in a day’s work!
