Salaryman’s Club original anime revealed a new trailer ahead of the January 22 premiere date. Studio LIDEN FILMS is animating the badminton-themed series, under Ami Yamauchi’s direction.
The story follows Mikoto Shiratori (Junya Enoki), a former badminton player who quit after losing in a high-school tournament. As he grew up he found a job at Sunlight Beverage company and became a regular salaryman. However, in his spare time, he still plays badminton and this time with his coworkers.
His “team” also includes:
- Shinichiro Miki as Tatsuru Miyazumi
- Kaito Ishikawa as Sota Saeki
- Ryota Osaka as Touya Saeki
- Tatsuya Kakihara as Kouki Takeda
Ami Yamauchi, who is directing, is also overseeing series composition with Teruko Utsumi. Suzihito Yasuda is credited with original character designs, and Majiro (Barakamon) is adapting them for the anime. Masatoshi Kai is the art director on the project. Fox Capture Plan is in charge of the music. Novelbright is performing the opening theme titled “The Warrior”, while Mafumafu is in charge of ED, which is titled “Nisen Gohyaku Man no Ichi”.
The anime is also known as Ryman’s Club. Crunchyroll will be streaming it as a part of its Winter 2021 anime season lineup.
