Secrets of the Silent Witch Episode 5 preview has been released. Crunchyroll and Bilibili are streaming the episode set to premiere on Friday, August 1. Yasuhiro Geshi (Stardust Telepath episode 9) is directing while Takaomi Tanasaki (Princess Connect! Re:Dive Season 2 storyboard) is writing the script and doing the storyboard for the upcoming episode.
Studio Gokumi is in charge of the animation with Cona Nitanda designing the characters, and Rina Tayama and Cygames working together to compose the music. Hitsujibungako sings the opening song “feels” and the ending song “mild days.”
Secrets of the Silent Witch anime is based on a light novel written by Matsuri Isora and illustrated by Nanna Fujimi. A manga adaptation illustrated by Tobi Tana began serialization in July 2021. Yen Press is licensing the light novel and manga in English.
The story centers around Monica Everett, the Silent Witch, who is the only mage in the world who can use unchanted magecraft and can single-handedly defeat a legendary black dragon. However, this prodigy is extremely shy, and she learned to cast spells silently just to avoid speaking in public.
