SEKIRO: NO DEFEAT anime revealed a new trailer, along with 5 additional voice cast members. The anime is coming exclusively to Crunchyroll in 2026. It was also announced that the anime will have a theatrical premiere in Japan this year.
The anime is being produced by studio Qzil.la, which is known for dealing with numerous AI technologies and projects. This caused a part of the audience to believe that the anime adaptation would itself utilize generative AI, which prompted an official statement from the production committee to confirm there will be ‘no generative AI’ used.
The new cast members include:

- Akimitsu Takase as Hanbei
- Takaya Hashi as Owl
- Tetsuo Kanao as Isshin Ashina
