Preview for episode 9 of Overlord IV (Season 4) is here and as always, two videos have been uploaded on Kadokawa’s YouTube channel. This week’s special preview is narrated by Shalltear Bloodfallen (voiced by Sumire Uesaka), Aura, and Mare Bello Fiore (voiced by Emiri Kato and Yumi Uchiyama). The standard preview is narrated by Satoshi Hino, who voices Ainz:
The episode is titled “Countdown to Extinction” and Overlord light novel fans will have a chance to rejoice, as the anime will finally properly introduce Nigredo, one of Albedo’s sisters. An all-out war is starting and Ainz will have to figure out how to subjugate another kingdom.
Naoyuki Ito is directing the Overlord Season 4 (Overlord IV) anime, with Satoshi Tasaki on character designs. Yukie Sugawara is overseeing the series composition and also writing the screenplay.
The Overlord anime series is based on light novels written by Kugane Maruyama and illustrated by so-bin. The first season of the anime adaptation aired in 2015. Season 2 and season 3 both aired during 2018, with studio MADHOUSE animating. Two recap movies by MADHOUSE were also released along the way. A new movie is also in the works, but no additional information is known at this time.
