Shikimori’s Not Just a Cutie anime revealed an updated version of the key visual with Kamiya. Akaya Fukuhara voices the quiet Kamiya, who first appeared in the second episode of the series and later become somewhat of a rival to Shikimori.
Shikimori’s Not Just a Cutie anime was affected by a delay caused by a COVID-19 outbreak at the production studio. As a result, the broadcasting schedule was changed and the anime is now set to finish on July 9, with episode 12.
Studio Doga Koba is animating the series, with Ryota Ito as the director. Ai Kikuchi is doing the character designs. Yoshimi Narita will be overseeing the series composition, while Hiroaki Tsutsumi is composing the music. The anime is based on a manga by Keigo Maki.
Kodansha USA is publishing the manga in English and describes the plot as:
Shikimori seems like the perfect girlfriend: cute, fun to be around, sweet when she wants to be… but she has a cool dark side that comes out under the right circumstances.
