The official video for the SiM’s Attack on Titan opening song “The Rumbling” is finally here with an anime-inspired atmosphere. The band previously revealed two teasers, the first of which dropped with the release of the full version of the song on February 6.
Taiyo Yamamoto (from flapper3 Inc.) directed the music video, with Kohta Morie (MORIE Inc.) as the CG director. SiM is performing the song, which was written and composed by MaH, their vocalist. Band members also include:
- MAH (マー), vocalist
- SIN (シン), bassist
- GODRi (ゴリ), drummer
- SHOW-HATE (ショウヘイト), guitarist
TV Size version of the song was released along with the premiere of Attack on Titan Final Season Part 2 on January 9, 2022. It quickly became a hit among the fans and even ranked on Billboard’s chart.
AnimeCorner recently interviewed SiM and asked them about the creative process behind the song, as well as inspirations. Their goal was to create a song that Attack on Titan fans would enjoy, while also keeping SiM’s identity in it. MaH specified that he didn’t write the song specifically for Eren, the main character in the series, but that he also can’t claim that it can’t be interpreted that way.
