SM North EDSA has officially kicked off its Animezing North: One Piece Adventures pop-up event with its supersized inflatables, interactive displays, and thrilling adventure zones inspired by iconic moments in the beloved series. The one-of-a-kind activation is made possible through a special collaboration between Toei Animation and SM Supermalls, just in time to celebrate One Piece Day.
The launching event was held on August 19, which invited prominent cosplayers such as Myrtle Sarrosa, Charess, Een, Awie, and Prince de Guzman. The program also included a sneak peek into the much-anticipated One Piece fun run by Runrio by founder and CEO, Coach Rio de la Cruz, which will take place on September 28 at SM City Fairview.
Some brands also joined in on the fun with their exciting and official One Piece merchandise, contributing to the unforgettable experience for the fans. The stores included Coolectzone, SM Store, Miniso, Toy Kingdom, Funtastik, Oxygen, National Book Store, TTRacing, Geek PH, and Filbars.
SM Supermalls is inviting fans from all over to not miss out on this epic celebration of friendship, dreams, and adventure. The Grand Line awaits at The Block Atrium, SM North EDSA, Quezon City, Philippines, and will run until September 3, 2025.
The 2025 ‘Animezing North: One Piece Adventures’ Experience
Now in its third year, the Animezing North: One Piece event is back with an even bigger and better adventure. SM North EDSA’s anime activations have always been something special; a local place created by the fans, for the fans, to make a memorable place for everyone to connect, interact, celebrate their favorite stories and characters. In fact, this may be the closest thing we have that’s comparable to Japan’s One Piece Day!
This year, Toei and SM Supermall featured a vibrant setup that captured the spirit of the Grand Line, and the highlight of them all is the two Gear 5 Luffy inflatables on both sides of The Block. In true silly and wild Joyboy fashion, there’s Luffy with his iconic laughing pose, and the other with his cartoonish open-mouth smile. The inflatables are also surrounded by multiple structures designed with illustrations and videos from the One Piece series throughout the years— a perfect atmosphere to get us nostalgic about the adventures we’ve had with our favorite stories and characters.
The Uniqlo station featured a wall of villainous wanted posters, while the other side had an official display of One Piece character figures, including the Going Merry ship. Behind the standees and 3D statues was a bright LED Jolly Roger of the Straw Hat crew.
One of the special highlights of Animezing North: One Piece 2025 is the adventure that TTRacing’s One Piece-themed gaming chairs prepared for the fans. TTRacing Philippines brought in their showroom game— the lined-up displays of the One Piece gaming chairs were not only fancy to see, but also interactive, aesthetically pleasing, and ergonomically comfortable. It was impossible not to geek out, especially when it was free to try, have photos with, and just appreciate TTRacing’s expert craftsmanship and design. Behind their booth, there was also a nostalgic backdrop of a ship’s helm, treasure, and boxes.
The main stage also boasts a wide screen that displays a few videos of the One Piece anime. A few things to look forward to here are the weekend events and the Luffy and Chopper meet-and-greets.
