Sound! Euphonium, The Final Movie Part 1 unveiled a key visual on Saturday. The movie is set to release in Japanese theaters on April 24, 2026. Kyoto Animation is animating the movie.
with Taichi Ogawa directing and Tatsuya Ishihara as the chief director. Jukki Hanada is writing the script and series composition, and Shoko Ikeda and Kazumi Ikeda are handling the character designs. Akito Matsuda is composing the music. TRUE is singing the theme song“ToCoda.”
The first season of the anime premiered in 2015, while the second season debuted in 2016, and the third season was broadcast in 2024, concluding in June of that year. There were also two movies between the first and second TV anime seasons—Sound Euphonium: Our Promise: A Brand New Day (2019) and Sound Euphonium: Ensemble Contest Arc (2023).

Spring in the first year of high school. Kumiko, a member of the brass band in junior high school, visits the high school brass band club with classmates Hazuki and Sapphire. There, she comes across Reina, her former classmate from junior high. Hazuki and Sapphire decide to join the club, but Kumiko can’t make up her mind. She recollects her experience with Reina at a competition in junior high school.
