The main cast of Spy x Family anime – Takuya Eguchi, Atsumi Tanezaki, and Saori Hayami – once again drew special illustrations, this time after the release of episode 12. The final episode of the first cour of the series focused on Forgers’ outing to an aquarium. The episodic visual was revealed before the episode premiered in Japan, and the cast got to take a shot at creating their own versions, for the first time after the fourth episode.
Takuya Eguchi, who voices Loid, drew an illustration of the Forger family and the aquarium penguins:
Meanwhile, Atsumi Tanezaki’s illustration features the Forger family with the stuffed penguin that Loid won at the penguin’s names quiz.
Saori Hayami’s illustration, on the other hand, depicts Loid in his disguise as a park caretaker and feeding the penguins with fish. Included in the illustration is Yor with her assassin-like kick and Anya just admiring the scene while using her telepathic powers.
Spy x Family manga author Tatsuya Endo reacted to Eguchi’s drawing, with a comment about the penguin drawing style:
The first cour of the anime ended on June 25 and the series will return in October this year. The second cour is listed with 13 episodes based on the Blu-ray/DVD listing on the series’ official website. As part of the announcement, a teaser trailer was released.
Spy x Family premiered on April 9 this year, with WIT Studio and Cloverworks animating it, with Kazuhiro Furuhashi as the director. Crunchyroll has been streaming the anime and describes the plot as:
