Crunchyroll announced that the SPY X FAMILY CODE: White movie will be coming to theaters worldwide in 2024. The company has the licensing rights for North America, Latin America, Australia/New Zealand, and select countries in Europe, including Austria, Benelux countries, France, Germany, Italy, the Nordics, Portugal, Spain, and Switzerland.
Together with Sony Pictures Entertainment, Crunchyroll is making the movie available both in English subtitles and in English dub.
Crunchyroll has also released the official key visual art for the movie with the tagline, “Survive Family Vacation. Save The World.”
SPY x FAMILY CODE: White is directed by Takashi Katagiri and written by Ichiro Okouichi. WIT STUDIO x Cloverworks is in charge of animating the movie. Tatsuya Endo, the original mangaka, is supervising.
The movie is a stand-alone story featuring Loid Forger, a secret agent called “Twilight,” Yor, a deadly assassin, and Anya, a telepath, in an all-new mission. Loid and Yor are keeping their double lives as a secret agent and an assassin to themselves while pretending to be the perfect family. Unknown to them, their adopted daughter, Anya, is a telepath and knows both of their secrets. While Loid was taking his family on a winter vacation as a guise for his current mission, Anya mistakenly gets involved and triggers events that would threaten world peace!
The SPY x FAMILY manga was written and illustrated by Tatsuya Endo. It is serialized in Shueisha’s Shonen Jump Plus and currently has over 31 million copies in circulation. It has been nominated for both the Harvey and Eisner Award and is a New York Times Graphic Books and Manga Bestseller. All 10 of the manga have also hit the Circana Bookscan Top 20 Adult Graphic Novel list. The manga is licensed and published by VIZ Media in English.
The SPY x FAMILY anime series was produced by TOHO Animation. The first season of the series was separated into two cours, with the first cour premiering in April 2022 while the second cour debuted in October of the same year. The second season of SPY x FAMILY is currently airing and fans can watch the series in English sub and dub on Crunchyroll.
Crunchyroll is an operated joint venture between US-based Sony Pictures Entertainment and Japan’s Aniplex, a subsidiary of Sony Music Entertainment (Japan) Inc. They are known as the ultimate home for anime worldwide.
