STEEL BALL RUN JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure (Part 7) revealed the main trailer, along with new cast members and a March 19, 2026 premiere date. Episode 1 will be a 47-minute special covering Stage 1 of the race, with the anime set to stream exclusively on Netflix.
The new trailer, released at the same time as the announcement, features several key characters:
- Johnny Joestar (CV: Shogo Sakata), the protagonist seeking redemption and mobility through the race.
- Gyro Zeppeli (CV: Yohei Azakami), wielder of the Spin and Johnny’s ally
- Diego Brando (CV: Kaito Ishikawa), a ruthless British jockey known as “Dio”
- Lucy Steel (CV: Rie Takahashi), wife of the race organizer.
- Steven Steel (CV: Kenta Miyake), the public face behind the Steel Ball Run.
- Sand Man (CV: Masaaki Mizunaka), a runner entering the race without a horse
- Pocoloco (CV: Kenichiro Matsuda), a lucky participant driven by a fortune teller’s prediction
Steel Ball Run is the seventh part of Hirohiko Araki’s legendary JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure manga. Set in late 19th-century America, the story follows former prodigy jockey Johnny Joestar and mysterious outlaw Gyro Zeppeli as they compete in a transcontinental horse race for a massive cash prize. Beneath the surface, however, they face dangerous conspiracies that threaten to take over the competition.
The manga by Hirohiro Araki began in 1987, while the Steel Ball Run part ran from 2004 to 2011. The full staff for the latest anime installment includes:
