Summoners War Announces Demon Slayer Collaboration

Summoners War: Sky Arena has announced a collaboration with the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba franchise, revealing that it is coming to the Apple App Store, Google Play Store, and PC via Steam on January 9.

Fans can expect various special events for the collaboration, which has already started with the Collab Special Countdown Event, which offers event coins ahead of the January 9 update.

Players can use the event coins to claim a Demon Slayer Scroll and other rewards. The teaser video features appearances from Tanjiro, Nezuko, Zenitsu, Inosuke and Gyomei.

Summoners War was created by South Korean game developer, Com2uS. It launched in June 2014 for iOS and Android, surpassing 200 million downloads and earning over 3 billion USD so far. The game has previously collaborated with other popular game and anime IPs, some of which were Street Fighter, One Punch Man, Evangelion and JUJUTSU KAISEN.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is a manga written and illustrated by Koyoharu Gotoge. It was serialized in the Weekly Shonen Jump magazine from February 2016 to May 2020, ending with a total of 23 volumes. Studio ufotable is in charge of the anime adaptation.

The franchise has the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Infinity Castle Arc movie trilogy in production, which will begin this year with the first movie. The first teaser visual and trailer were recently revealed. It also has the Hinokami Chronicles sequel game set to release this year.
