The Synduality Noir anime has released a new key visual and main trailer ahead of its second cour, which is set to air on January 8. The first cour ended on September 26 after 12 episodes. Studio 8bit is animating the series, which is streaming exclusively on Disney+.
Details regarding the new theme songs have been announced as well, and they are “Aire” by ARCANA PROJECT as the opening theme and “Drifters” by STEREO DIVE FOUNDATION as the ending theme.
Synduality Noir is part of a mixed media project by Bandai Namco Entertainment, Bandai Namco Filmworks (formerly Sunrise), and Bandai Spirits. Yusuke Yamamoto is directing the anime. Hajime Kamoshida did the original story concept, with Takashi Aoshima on the series composition. Kenichiro Katsura is listed as the chief animation director, as well as the anime’s character designer. The main cast for the anime includes:

The official website describes the plot of Synduality anime as:
The “Tears of the New Moon” was a great disaster that brought down a poisonous rain that could kill people if they were exposed to it. More than 100 years have passed since then, and mankind has finally begun to overcome the disaster.
In the “Nest” settlements scattered throughout the devastated world, those who survive are humanoid Magus, equipped with dual-thinking AI.
The year is 2242 A.D. Magus who had fallen asleep wakes up with no memories.
Synduality Noir is based on a sci-fi shooter game released in September 2022. Playstation describes the game’s plot as:
The year is 2222. It has been years since Tears of the New Moon, a mysterious rain, poured and wiped out almost the entire human race. The poisonous rain gave birth to deformed creatures devouring for humans, and humanity fled from the danger. As means for survival, the humans then build an underground haven; Amasia. In this new built dystopian city, on a pursuit of maintaining their existence, they run into an Artificial Intelligence named Magus. Not knowing how things will work between them, the story of how Humans and AI coinciding and trying to find their truths begin.
