takt op Destiny opening theme surpassed 1 million views on MAPPA’s official YouTube channel on October 16, 2021. The video hit the mark in just 10 days since its release last October 6, the same date as the anime’s debut.
The opening theme is titled “Takt,” and was composed by ryo (supercell), and performed by Mafumafu and Gaku. The opening theme follows a sentimental introduction of the characters, including Takt as a Conductor and Cosette as a Musicart. It also exhibits MAPPA and Madhouse‘s stunning animation collaboration, as well as ryo’s (supercell) ability to capture emotion. The composer and performers also shared their comments about it on the official website.

Synopsis
Set in New York City, in the year 2047. The world was destroyed in a war with a mysterious monster D2, which was created out of Black Night Meteorite that fell from the sky. Magical girls, “Musicarts” fight against the monster, while being led by the “Conductor”. Their goal is to bring music back to the destroyed world.
