Tamon’s B-Side anime unveiled a new visual on Friday, promintently featuring the main characters Utage Kinoshita and Tamon Fukuhara. Additionally, the series will be showcased at AnimeJapan 2025 on March 22-23, featuring a special stage event at the King Records booth, where a few of the cast members will make a guest appearance.
J.C. Staff is animating the series with Chika Nagaoka as director. Chiaki Nagai is in charge of writing the series composition and scripts. Yoko Ito is the character designer and chief animation director. The cast consists of:
- Saori Hayami as Utage Kinoshita
- Kakeru Hatano as Tamon Fukuhara
- Shoya Chiba as Ori Sakaguchi
- Tasuku Hatanaka as Keito Tachibana
- Kohei Amasaki as Natsuki Ishibashi
- Ryuuho Nagaoka as Rintarоo Kai
The anime is based on a manga series written and illustrated by Yuki Shiwasu. Originally a one-shot published in Hakusensha’s shōjo manga magazine Hana to Yume in August 2021, before being serialized in the same magazine in October of the same year. Viz Media is licensing the manga in English and they describe it as:
Tamon is an insecure mess in real life, and what’s worse, he’s threatening to quit! Utage refuses to let anyone stand in Tamon’s way—least of all himself. What’s a fangirl to do but roll up her sleeves and support her favorite singer with everything she’s got?
