Teamfight Tactics Set 15: K.O. Coliseum Officially Launches Worldwide

Riot Games has released Teamfight Tactics: K.O. Coliseum, the 15th set for its strategy game Teamfight Tactics (TFT). The update is now available worldwide on PC and mobile platforms following a two-week testing period on the Public Beta Environment (PBE). The new set will be active for the next four months.

K.O. Coliseum introduces an anime-inspired theme, featuring champion groups such as Star Guardians, Soul Fighters, and Battle Academia. The set adds a new mechanic called Power Ups, which allows players to enhance any champion with customizable bonuses using a Power Snax. Power Ups can be removed and reassigned to other units, adding strategic flexibility.

The update also brings new cosmetics to the in-game shop, including Chibi Spirit Blossom Lillia, Prestige Chibi Spirit Blossom Ahri, High Noon Thresh Unbound, and The Veiled Village Arena. A range of anime-inspired Portal Skins, such as Spirit Springs, The Way of the K.O., and Crystal Caress, is also available. You can watch the Dev Drop video below.

Gameplay changes include revised unit roles to improve champion identity and interaction. Tanks will now gain 5 mana per attack, generate additional mana from taking damage, and are more likely to draw enemy focus.

On the competitive side, the TFT Pro Circuit (TPC), a new Tier 1 tournament series, will debut in August 2025. The first event takes place on August 29 and will feature 32 players from four regions who qualified through the previous set, Teamfight Tactics: Cyber City.

Additionally, the TFT Open (TPO) returns as the game’s largest event, scheduled for Paris’ Porte de Versailles. This year’s TPO will feature 768 player slots, an increase of 50% compared to previous editions. Pre-sales for competitor passes begin on September 8, with pricing details to be announced on August 20. The event will include an Artist Alley, developer panels, co-streamer meet-and-greets, side events, and a 4v4 tournament for players eliminated on Day 1.

We also had the chance to interview ASCA, the artist behind the set’s theme song “Fighter!!”
