Tensura Game Celebrates Collaboration With Overlord

The That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: ISEKAI Memories game has announced an online giveaway and in-game collaboration with the Overlord anime series. Users are eligible to win a colored poster with an autograph of Miho Okasaki, the voice actress behind the main character Rimuru Tempest.

The giveaway campaign ran from January 22 to 24, with an in-game collaboration commencing on January 26. This collaboration will include a voiced in-game scene, as well as custom characters based on the two franchises, an in-game chat function with game allies, and special buildings. That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: ISEKAI Memories is a 3D battle RPG developed by BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment Inc., WFS. It was officially released on October 27, 2021, and the servers opened the following day. The game is available to play on mobile and is listed on Google Play and Apple Store. The game is described as:

A new story supervised by Fuse, author of the original light novels! A mysterious girl named Shinsha appears, claiming to be Rimuru’s daughter. What is her relation to Izis, the witch from the “mirror land”?

Tensura x Overlord game collaboration – Visual

The Tensura franchise recently got a three-part original video adaptation and also confirmed the Spring 2024 release date for the third season. airing this spring. The three-part OVA was titled Coleus’ Story and follows Rimuru and his squad while they visit the Coleus Kingdom. It is worth noting that said side story was first released in the Blu-Ray edition of the anime’s second season. The story is chronologically set between the first and second seasons of the anime.

That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime light novel by Fuse and illustrated by Mitz Vah started as a web novel series, first published on Shosetsuka ni Naro from 2013 to 2016. It was later acquired by Micro Magazine imprint where it has been serialized since 2014. It was licensed in English by Yen Press for North America in 2017.

Overlord franchise also revealed anime-related updates earlier this month. The upcoming movie Overlord: The Holy Kingdom will be released later this year. The series is based on Overlord light novels written by Kugane Maruyama and illustrated by so-bin. The first season of the anime adaptation aired in 2015. The second and third seasons both aired in 2018, with studio MADHOUSE animating. Two recap movies, also by studio MADHOUSE, exist. The fourth season, which finished airing in 2022, was initially announced with The Holy Knight movie.
