The Summer season is slowly reaching its end, and our rankings are beginning to see more changes as the shows reach their finales. That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime started this season pretty slow, not managing to top the chart until only last week. However, Tensura has now become the only anime to defend its 1st rank for 2 consecutive weeks! How and why did it happen? Let’s take a quick look at the last 2 weeks:
Walpurgis Begins
After all the build-up, the Demon Lords’ Banquet Walpurgis finally came in episode 46. As Clayman tried to get the other Demon Lords against Rimuru, it quickly backfired and the battle between the two began. The episode was packed with action, getting Shion to smack Clayman and Milim fighting Rimuru. We were also introduced to Guy, who definitely seems like an interesting character. And he took a note to remember Rimuru’s name in this episode. To top it all off, Veldora suddenly appears near the end, saving Rimuru from Milim. With everything that happened, Tensura took the top for the first time, ranking up from its previous spot at #3. You can also view the full results of Week 10.
Veldora Arrives
Our favorite dragon appeared and it already made episode 47 hype at the very start. Him talking about manga is always fun, but the special moves references were a special treat. His fight against Milim was epic, and Rimuru could finally focus on Clayman, who realized he had no support from the other Demon Lords. Then again, Shion was enough to completely destroy him on her own, and it quickly seemed like the battle was over. We already had a hint that someone else was controlling Clayman, and that was further proven here. As Clayman got a power-up, we realized it’s not right there yet, and the finale next week will probably make Tensura a contender to also be the first and only anime to maintain the 1st rank not only for 2, but for 3 consecutive weeks! Tensura Episode 48 Release Date
Episode 48 is titled “Octogram” and will air on Tuesday, September 21 at 11:00 PM (JST). It will also be available to watch on Crunchyroll and Muse Asia in select regions. Do you think it will deliver a satisfying finale?
