An anime adaptation was officially announced for The 100th Time’s the Charm: She Was Executed 99 Times, So How Did She Unlock “Super Love” Mode, a light novel series written by Yuji Yuji. A promotional video was released alongside the announcement, introducing the characters and ending with the teaser illustration of the protagonist. The announcement was made during Anime Expo 2025 last weekend.

The story follows Alphina, a noblewoman who has been executed 99 times in previous lives after being falsely accused of murdering a saint and abandoned by her fiancé, a cold-hearted prince. In her 100th life, she gains the ability to hear the thoughts of others and discovers that those who once seemed cruel actually cared for her deeply. She then aims to overturn her fate.
The original light novel is published under DRE Novels, with three volumes available as of this writing. A manga adaptation by Roharu Kai is currently serialized through DRE Comics, with the fifth volume set to release on August 20, 2025.

Huge congratulations on the Kukurupu anime!
I’ve been creating the manga with the hope that more people would come to love the cheerful storytelling of Yuji Yuji-sensei and the stunning character designs by Nami Hidaka-sensei.
There were so many times I felt, “If only this scene had color and motion… If only this line had a voice actor… it would bring out the charm even more!” Just when I was feeling that frustration, the anime was announced!
I’m already looking forward to seeing Alphina’s fiery red hair come alive on screen.
