The Apothecary Diaries released a collaboration music video for the 2nd season opening song, “In Bloom” by Lilas. The song is in English and the video features scenes from the first two seasons of the series.
A third season of the series was previously confirmed and there will also be a movie. The movie will premiere in Japan in December 2026, following the first part of the TV anime, and it will feature an original story by the author Natsu Hyuuga.
The Apothecary Diaries light novel is written by Natsu Hyuuga with illustrations by Toko Shino. The series is serialized by Shunfunotomo. The series has 2 manga adaptations, one written by Itsuki Nanao and illustrated by Nekokurage, and one written and illustrated by Minoji Kurata.
J-Novel Club is publishing the novel in English, while Squre Enix is publishing the manga. They describe the story as follows:

Maomao, an unassuming girl raised in an unassuming town by her apothecary father, never imagined the rear palace would have anything to do with her—until she was kidnapped and sold into service there.
