The Apothecary Diaries has revealed a new August visual for Chapter 2 of its “Maomao and Jinshi Through the Four Seasons” Nekoneko Day monthly tradition. The new series began in July 2025 and will once again feature seasonal illustrations released on the 22nd of every month, celebrated as “Nekoneko Day.”
The August visual features Maomao and Kyo picking summer plants, and you can check it out below.
The Chapter 1 Nekoneko Day visuals included:
- July visual had Maomao and Jinshi
- August visual had Maomao hanging out with Xiaolan
- September visual featured Jinshi and Gaoshun
- October visual featured Maomao, Gyokuyou and Lingli
- November visual had Maomao and Jinshi together
- December visual had Maomao looking at daffodils with Lihua
- January visual had Maomao playing in the snow with Xiaolan and Shisui
- February visual had Jinshi and Basen
- March visual had Maomao and Lihaku enjoying a flower field
- April visual had Maomao and Jinshi at a picnic
- May visual had Maomao with Shisui and Xiaolan
- June visual featured Maomao and Jinshi again
The finale of the second season was Episode 24 (Episode 48 overall), and it was released on July 4, 2025. A sequel anime was announced immediately after.
