The Bugle Call: Song of War is officially receiving a TV anime adaptation, with the series scheduled to premiere in 2027. The announcement also marks the debut production of CA Soa, CyberAgent Group’s newly established animation studio.

The anime revealed a teaser visual and an extended teaser trailer running nearly four minutes, showing the first look at the anime’s action, music, and world. The preview introduces protagonist Luca, a young bugler who dreams of becoming a musician despite living in a war-torn world. After a mysterious power awakens within him, his journey brings him into contact with other “Branch-Born” individuals, setting the stage for a conflict that could determine the future of the world.

The anime is based on the manga by Sora Mozuku and Higoro Tomori, which has been serialized in Jump SQ. since 2022 and currently has 13 volumes published in Japan.

Shinya Watada (One Piece Film: Red action director, Aikatsu Stars!) is directing the adaptation, with Michihiro Tsuchiya handling series composition and Michinori Chiba serving as character designer. Music is composed by Hitomi Koto, while CG studio Shirogumi is producing the series’ CG animation and large-scale battle sequences.

Luca, a boy with branches sprouting from his head, serves as a bugler in a mercenary company that
thrives on war. Though surrounded by conflict, he dreams of becoming a musician.
One day, amid the chaos of battle, a mysterious power awakens within him. His journey soon brings
him into contact with the Pontiff, who stands at the pinnacle of the nation; Zoe, a fellow Branch-Born;
and many others whose lives are intertwined with his own.
Through these encounters, Luca’s destiny begins to change in ways he could never have imagined.
Arboral Year 1294—a battle that will determine the future is about to begin.
