The Fragrant Flower Blooms with Dignity Episode 9 preview images, staff, and synopsis have been released. Makoto Kato (Akebi’s Sailor Uniform) directs the episode, and Honoka Kato (Spy x Family) writes the script. Netflix Japan will stream the episode first on Saturday, August 30.
Episode 9 synopsis:
Realizing his feelings for Kaoruko, Rintaro feels frustrated at being swept away by his own emotions. On a day off, Shohei, Saku, and Ayato plan to hang out at Rintaro’s house. By chance, Kaoruko and Subaru, who happened to be out buying cake that day, also end up joining them.
The Fragrant Flower Blooms with Dignity (Kaoru Hana wa Rin to Saku) is a manga series written and illustrated by Saka Mikami. Studio CloverWorks is animating the series. Tatsuya Kitani sings the opening theme song “Manazashi wa Hikari” while UshioReira is performing the ending song “Hare no Hi ni.” The voice cast consists of:

- Yoshinori Nakayama as Rintaro Tsumugi
- Kikunosuke Toya as Shohei Usami
- Koki Uchiyama as Saku Natsusawa
- Hiiro Ishibashi as Ayato Yorita
