The Fragrant Flower Blooms with Dignity Reveals Episode 2 Preview

Written by Ken Pueyo

The Fragrant Flower Blooms with Dignity anime has revealed the preview for episode 2, which is set to premiere on Saturday, July 12, in Japan.

The synopsis for the upcoming episode is as follows:
After learning that Kaoruko, the one who looked at him without fear, attends the prestigious Kikyo Girls’ Academy, Rintaro witnesses a confrontation between Chidori and the girls from Kikyo at the school gate. Even though he thinks it might be better for them not to meet anymore, Rintaro can’t get Kaoruko out of his mind. He assumes that, given how openly Kikyo despises Chidori, Kaoruko probably won’t come to the family’s cake shop again. But when he returns home, he’s surprised to find Kaoruko waiting for him there.

Rino Yamazaki is in charge of the screenplay, Haruki Tsuzuki is doing the storyboard, and Kohei Tokuoka is directing the episode. Hatsue Koizumi and Takuya Kawai are the chief animation directors.

The first episode of the anime will begin streaming in some Asian regions on July 13, while the United States and numerous other countries will have a September 7 release date.

The main voice cast includes:

  • Honoka Inoue as Kaoruko Waguri
  • Yoshinori Nakayama as Rintaro Tsumugi
  • Kikunosuke Toya as Shohei Usami
  • Koki Uchiyama as Saku Natsusawa
  • Hiiro Ishibashi as Ayato Yorita
  • Aya Yamane as Subaru Hoshina

Tatsuya Kitani sings the opening theme song “Manazashi wa Hikari” while UshioReira is performing the ending song “Hare no Hi ni.” Both theme song videos are currently out now on Aniplex’s YouTube channel.

I can talk about seiyuus for days and a connoisseur of cute girls doing cute things. Fluffy romance and girls coming of age stories always make me smile. I mostly watch slice-of-life and rom-coms with drama on the side. A firm believer of the girls' band era.
