DAN DA DAN Season 2 revealed the preview for Episode 1 (Episode 13 overall), which is set to continue the anime on July 3. DAN DA DAN was voted as the most anticipated Summer 2025 anime, and we’re ready to continue right where we left off with Episode 12.
DAN DA DAN is just one of the 16 upcoming sequels coming next season, and the anime will stream on Crunchyroll, Netflix and Hulu. Hulu also confirmed that Season 2 will premiere with same-day English dubs.
Episode 1 is described:
Okarun and Jiji discovered a hidden room with ofuda (protective talismans) plastered all over the ceiling, walls, and floor. Just then, the intercom suddenly rang. Thinking it was Momo, they opened the front door, only to find Naki and other members of the Kito family standing outside. Meanwhile, Momo was in a dire situation, being attacked by the men of the Kito family while in the open-air bath…
We recently had the chance to interview Co-Director Abel Góngora, who is joining last season’s Fuga Yamashiro. We also got to speak with the English voice cast trio of Abby Trott, AJ Beckles, and Aleks Le.
The main Japanese voice cast consists of:
- Shion Wakayama as Momo Ayase
- Natsuki Hanae as Ken Okarun Takakura
- Nana Mizuki as Seiko Ayase
- Mayumi Tanaka as Turbo-Granny
- Kazuya Nakai as Serpoian Alien
Yukinobu Tatsu writes and draws the DAN DA DAN manga, which has been serialized on Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ platform since 2021. Nineteen volumes have been released as of April 2025, with Volume 20 set to hit Japanese bookshelves on July 4.
The story follows a high school girl Momo and her classmate Ken Takakura. Momo comes from a family of spirit mediums, while Ken is a follower of the occult. After a challenge gone wrong, Ken (now known as Okarun) gets cursed and ends up with yokai powers. The first season ended with Okarun and Jiji finding the hidden room, and it’s almost time to meet Evil Eye.
