The Iceblade Sorcerer Shall Rule the World Season 2 Reveals Teaser Trailer, October 2026 Release Date

The Iceblade Sorcerer Shall Rule the World is returning this fall, with Season 2 officially set to begin in October 2026. A new teaser trailer has also been released ahead of the premiere. The sequel was announced in May 2026.

The second season follows Ray White after the events of the first season, which aired from January to March 2023. Having overcome multiple challenges at Arnold Academy of Magic and earned the trust of those around him, Ray will next participate in the Magics War, a magical competition where students form teams of three and compete.

At the same time, a new threat begins closing in on Ray and his friends, while the other members of the world’s Seven Grand Sorcerers begin making their own moves.

Junya Enoki returns as Ray White, with the cast including:

Masahiro Takata returns as director, series composer, and sound director. Mariko Kawamoto serves as character designer and chief animation director, while scripts are handled by Takata, Tomoko Shinozuka, and Yujin Onishi. Studio Zero-G is in charge of the animation, with david production handling the art and backgrounds.

The Iceblade Sorcerer Shall Rule the World is based on the light novel series written by Nana Mikoshiba and illustrated by Riko Korie, published under Kodansha’s Kodansha Ranobe Bunko imprint.

Kodansha USA licensed the manga adaptation by Norihito Sasaki in English, describing the first volume:
The Arnold Academy of Magic is a school for the elite…and Ray White is just your ordinary guy. In fact, he doesn’t seem particularly skilled with magic at all, and is a bit of a klutz. Which is why he has nothing to do with the rumor that one of the great magicians, the Iceblade Sorcerer, is a member of the incoming class…right?
