Kadokawa has announced that I‘m Getting Married to a Girl I Hate in My Class light novel is ending with the release of its 10 volume. The romantic comedy written by Seiju Amano and illustrated by Nanami Narumi was originally launched as a YouTube manga via the Manga Angel Neko Oka in 2020.

Published by Media Factory via their MF Bunko J imprint, the light novel focuses on the romantic life of Akane Sakuramori and Saito Houjou. When Saito’s grandpa and Akane’s grandmother meet years after becoming widowed, their old romance sparks back to life. However as they realize it’s too late for them to pursue that romance, they decide to live vicariously through their grandchildren and pressure them into an arranged marriage. But what would normally be a contentious issue becomes even more problematic as Saito and Akane are the equivalent of CyGames and Uma Musume lewd fan art. They’re not meant to coexist. Or at least that’s what they outwardly say. But will their cohabitation change their views on each other? Will the power of friendship let love prevail?
I‘m Getting Married to a Girl I Hate in My Class received a manga adaptation illustrated by Mosskonbu. Kadokawa Shoten’s Shonen Ace Plus has serialized the manga online since May 2021. Seven Seas Entertainment publishes the manga in English. A Studio Gokumi and AXsiZ anime adaptation is currently airing. Crunchyroll is simulcasting the series.
