The Irregular at Magic High School: Yotsuba Succession Arc movie revealed a new teaser visual and trailer, along two new cast members. Shion Wakayama and Shuichiru Umeda have joined the voice cast. Wakayama will voice Kotona Tsutsumi, one of the Guardians serving Shibata Katsushige , a candidate to become the next head of the Yotsuba family. Umeda will voice Kanata Tsutsumi, Kotona’s younger brother and also a Guardian to Katsushige.
Chiwa Saito, the Japanese voice actress of Maya Yotsuba, previously said it will be a “heavy arc” and a turning point in Tatsuya and Miyuki’s relationship. You can watch the new trailer below.
The previous voice cast additions included Daisuke Ono as Shibata Katsushige and Ai Kayano as Yuka Tsukuba. Studio 8bit is again handling the animation production, with Jimmy Stone as the director. You can see the full credits below:

The Irregular at Magic High School is a light novel series by Tsutomu Sato, first released online in 2008 before being published by Dengeki Bunko in 2011. Set in the 2090s, it follows siblings Tatsuya and Miyuki Shiba at First High School, where Miyuki excels while Tatsuya is dismissed as talentless despite his hidden (overpowered) abilities and secret ties to the powerful Yotsuba clan.
The series has expanded into a major franchise with multiple manga, anime seasons, and films beginning with the first anime in 2014. Sequels like Magian Company and spin-offs such as Maidens of Cygnus took the story beyond the high school setting, and the franchise has sold over 22 million copies worldwide. The most recent anime installment was Season 3, which aired from April to June 2024.
