For the low price of $127.99, which is about what you’d pay for half a gallon of gas, six packs of ramen, and three Snickers, you can buy the new Kadokawa x Kurumi Tokisaki Cat Ears Figure. Sculpted by Matsuda Model via Fundoshi for Kadokawa’s scale figure line and based on an illustration created for the Date A Bullet NOCO Art Collection NIGHTMARE, the kawaii neko figure features fan favorite Kurumi in a playful cat pose with paws up and a playful smile.
Standing at 170mm (or about 2 Twinkies (6.69 inches) for the Americans that recoil at the metric system), the figure’s pre-order period is available until 7/31. It is expected to ship between July and September 2025. Now, you may be tempted to think that spending ~$130 on an anime figure is a luxury. There’s food to buy, or if you’re American, predatory student loans to pay.
But happiness is like your physical health. The hippies and crystal users want you to believe it’s all about clean living and a good heart, but not so. To live a physically healthy life you need to spend your hard-earned money. And that also applies to your spiritual health and happiness. Happiness isn’t internal, that’s gas.
Buy stuff to put a smile on your face. And I don’t mean that in a consumerism kind of way, but rather in a live a little kind of way. Break out the fancy bourbons for no reason. Treat yourself to a really nice dinner every once in a while. Call in sick and take a day to go to an aquarium or something. But, most importantly, buy the new Kadokawa x Kurumi Tokisaki Cat Ears figure. Your peace of mind will thank you.
Adapted from the Date A Live Fragment: Date A Bullet light noverl. The Date A Bullet movies aired in August and November 2020 respectively. After getting isekaid, Kurumi finds herself involved in a death-match against quasi-spirits, and to survive she must form an alliance with a spirit she just met, does she make it out? Check it out on Crunchyroll to find out.
