Do you miss Mahiru Shiina? Is the second season of The Angel Next Door farther away than your estimated lifespan? Do you miss the days when the sun never set on the British Empire? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then the Melon Books x Tenshi-sama pop-up shop is something you need. Pairing one of the romance genre’s most beloved waifus with classical British outfits, this collab is to Anglophiles what jellied eels are to the Cockneys.

Will this collab pop-up make fish and chips lovers happy? Sure! Can it cause Mahiru fans from the former colonies to cringe? Also yes! Either way, there’s something poetic about putting a globally popular waifu in clothes from the Victorian Era. The sun may have set on the British Empire, but it will never set on Mahiru.
