The Misfit of Demon King Academy Season 2 continues today with the first new episode since it got delayed in February, and a special trailer was released for the restart. The trailer shows some of the events from the previous 6 episodes, and it features the theme song “SEIEN” by Lenny code fiction.
The episode 7 preview was also revealed, and The Misfit of Demon King Academy Season 2 is set to run for 2 cours. The anime originally started airing in January this year, but was delayed due to production issues. The broadcast restarted in July. Yuichiro Umehara replaced Tatsuhisa Suzuki as the voice of Anos, while the remaining cast is reprising their roles. The staff includes:

The Misfit of Demon King Academy series is based on a light novel written by Shu and illustrated by Yoshinori Shizuma. The light novel began serialization in Dengeki Bunko in 2018, with a manga adaptation by Kayaharuka following in MangaUp! magazine. As Kayaharuka passed away in 2021, the manga has been put on indefinite hiatus.
J-Novel Club licensed the light novel in English, while Square Enix licensed the manga. Crunchyroll streams the anime, and they describe the story:
Anos Voldigord was a tyrannical Demon King that eradicated humans, spirits, and even the gods. But he became bored of eternal warfare and reincarnated with dreams of a peaceful world. However, what awaited him in reincarnation after 2000 years were descendants who became too weak after being accustomed to peace, and all sorts of magic that deteriorated to the extreme. Anos enters Demon King Academy that gathers and educates those who are viewed as the reincarnation of the Demon King. But the academy could not see through his true powers and ends up branding him as a misfit!
