The Quintessential Quintuplets new game, Gotobun no Princess Genso to Shinen to Mahou Gakuen, has revealed the opening animation, gameplay details, and more following its announcement on May 5, 2025. The game is scheduled to release on September 18, 2025.
A series of trailers were recently posted on The Quintessential Quintuplets Game Channel on YouTube. The initial announcement premiered on May 5, 2025, followed by multiple videos in late May and early June showing the game’s opening animation, gameplay system, and limited edition contents. In the new game, the characters are in an alternate fantasy world within a magic academy. Players take on the role of Futaro Uesugi, who encounters the Nakano quintuplets (Ichika, Nino, Miku, Yotsuba, and Itsuki) in this alternate setting. The game has dungeon RPG elements, allowing players to complete quests alongside the quintuplets, who still continue to face academic challenges.

The limited edition and special box sets will include an Original Anime Blu-ray Disc, which will feature:
- The opening animation produced by Seven Arcs (including a creditless version).
- An exclusive 10-minute original anime by Seven Arcs.
- A 45-minute visual drama depicting Futaro and the quintuplets during an overnight gathering.

The theme song, “Ashita e” (To Tomorrow), is performed by the Nakano quintuplets’ voice cast: Kana Hanazawa, Ayana Taketatsu, Miku Ito, Ayane Sakura, and Inori Minase. Lyrics were written by Aira Yuki, with composition by Kyoichi Miyazaki (KEYTONE) and arrangement by Kyoichi Miyazaki and Shinji Suzuki (KEYTONE). You can hear it in the opening video below:

Negi Haruba wrote and illustrated the The Quintessential Quintuplets manga series, which was serialized in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine from 2017 to 2020. It ended with a total of 122 chapters, which were compiled into 14 volumes.
The first season of The Quintessential Quintuplets anime adaptation aired from January to March 2019 and was animated by Tezuka Productions. Bibury Animation Studios took over for the 2nd season, which premiered in 2021, and they also animated the final movie. SHAFT animated both of the specials, with the first premiering in 2023 and the second one in 2024. The second one covered the events set after the wedding and Futaro’s honeymoon.
