The Villainess Is Adored by the Prince of the Neighbor Kingdom anime has released a brand new trailer, which features the theme songs and additional cast members. The anime is set to premiere on January 11. Ayahi Takagaki and Yuu Shirota are performing both the opening theme song “Ai no Fanfare” and the ending theme song “Maho no Oto.”
The voice cast consists of:
- Mai Fuchigami as Tiararose
- Yuichiro Umehara as Aquasteed
- Yumiri Hanamori as Akari
- Takuya Sato as Hartknights
- Marina Yamada as Icillia (NEW)
- Junichi Suwabe as Keith (NEW)
- Hikaru Midorikawa as Crail (NEW)
- Ai Furihata as Pearl (NEW)
Studio DEEN is animating the series with Takayuki Hamana as the director. Yoshimi Narita is in charge of the series composition, while Maziro is the character designer. A teaser trailer was released last October.
The anime is based on a light novel series written by Puni-chan and illustrated by Akeno Naruse. It began as a web novel on Shosetsuka ni Naro in 2016 before being picked up by Enterbrain’s B’s Log Bunko imprint, with 14 volumes released as of November 2023. There is also a manga adaptation by Hoshina, which has been serialized since 2017 on B’s Log Comic.
A visual novel developed by Operahouse launched for Nintendo Switch and Steam in March 2024. Steam describes the story:
“Am I…inside my favorite otome game!?” The main character had reincarnated to the world of “The Ring of Lapis Lazuli”, her favorite otome game―but as the villainess, Tiara Rose. The story progresses accordingly to the original otome game, and her engagement with Prince Hartknights, the crown prince from Lapis Lazuli, breaks off. However, a sweet and surprising plot twist occurs when Aquasteed, the crown prince of the neighboring country Marinforest, suddenly appears to propose a marriage to her.
