The upcoming Mission: Yozakura Family anime released its second key visual ahead of its release on April 7, 2024. The visual gathers the entire family, with main characters Taiyo Asano and Mutsumi Yozakura taking centerstage. It was also announced that CHiCO would sing the ending song, “fam!” Ai Otsuka (Fruits Basket Season 2 OP 2 singer) produced the ending song’s music. Following CHiCO’s announcement as the ED song performer, she said:
“This is CHiCO, who will be in charge of the ending theme. I love the reassuring Yozakura family, who handle everything with a cool head. I want to support Taiyo with all my might as he dives into a dangerous world and becomes stronger in order to protect his precious Mutsumi. Taiyo, who has always been Mutsumi’s hero since childhood, is so cool! I would be happy if you could feel the loving side of the Yozakura family and Taiyo through ‘fam!’.“
Mission: Yozakura Family will be animated by Silver Link, with direction and screenplay by Mirai Minato and music by Koji Fujimoto and Osamu Sasaki. The anime adapts Hitsuji Gondaira’s manga of the same name, published in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump. It’s been collected into 22 volumes since its debut in August 2019. It’s unclear which streaming platform the series will debut on. Fans can check out the new short trailer which dropped earlier this week.
