The two voice actors both commented on the anime adaptation announcement:
Kohei Amasaki (Voice of Yoki):
“Youki is a former human turned demon in a fantasy world. He’s 21, but he still has that middle schooler fantasy edge, making him fun to play due to the contrast with his actual age. I think this series strikes a great balance between romance and comedy. Please pay attention to how Youki and Cecilia’s relationship develops. From a voice actor’s perspective, the whole cast brings the characters to life wonderfully. I’m really looking forward to the broadcast—don’t miss it!”
Kana Hanazawa (Voice of Cecilia):
“Cecilia is the party’s cleric, always watching over everyone kindly. She has a nurturing nature, but because she’s willing to sacrifice herself for others, she’s someone you can’t leave alone. Though she’s burdened with a great mission, meeting Youki brings joy into her life, which is heartwarming to watch. Their love story is full of those fluttery, heartwarming moments, so please check it out!”
Suisei writes the original novel, which features illustrations by La-na. There is also a manga adaptation by Kairi, which is currently serialized on Manga Gaogao and Gaogao Monster Plus. The romantic fantasy comedy follows Yoki, a former human who gets reincarnated as a demon in another world. His peaceful life as a mid-level boss in the Demon Lord’s castle is changed when he falls in love with Cecilia, a kind yet strong-willed cleric from the hero’s party. Despite being admired by his subordinates, Yoki turns shy and awkward around her.
The manga artist drew a special illustration to commemorate the announcement:
