There’s No Freaking Way I’ll Be Your Lover! Unless… Reveals Main Trailer, Key Visual, Theme Songs, Additional Cast, July 7 Premiere Date

The main trailer was revealed for the upcoming There’s No Freaking Way I’ll Be Your Lover! Unless… anime, which features the theme songs and a July 7 premiere date. Mayu Sagara also joins the cast as Haruna Amaori.

Nanawo Akari is singing the opening theme song while Philosophy no Dance is performing the ending theme song. Both songs can be heard in the trailer

The announcements were revealed during a special live program where the previously announced voice cast (excluding Kana Ichinose) were present and it was hosted by Mayu Sagara. Nanawo Akari also appeared and revealed the CD jacket for the opening song.

Natsumi Uchinuma is directing the anime at Studio MOTHER, with Naruhisa Arakawa supervising and writing the script. Misaki Kaneko, Haruki Moriya, Takashi Shiokawa, Kino Tokino, and Keinosuke Ami are credited as chief animation directors, while kojikoji is the character designer, and Yoshiaki Fujisawa is the music composer. The cast includes:

• Kana Ichinose as Satsuki Koto
• Takako Tanaka as Kaho Koyanagi

There’s No Freaking Way I’ll be Your Lover! Unless… anime is based light novel written by Teren Mikami with illustrations provided by Eku Takeshima (Whisper Me a Love Song). The light novel was published under Shueisha’s Dash X Bunko label in February 2020 and a manga adaptation with art by Musshu was launched in Shueisha’s Dash X Comic section of the Niconico Seiga website in May 2020.

Synopsis:
There’s No Way I’ll be Your Lover! Unless… (abbreviated: WATANARE) is a non-stop girls’ love comedy set in a school environment with a cast of richly individual characters. The main character, Renako Amaori, who had a lonely time in junior high school, makes her debut in high school and meets her classmate, school superstar Mai Oduka.
