Spice and Wolf: MERCHANT MEETS THE WISE WOLF has revealed the preview images for episode 7. It is titled “Scale of God and Sorcerer of the Grasslands” and is slated to air on May 13. Studio Passione is animating the series and is available to stream on Crunchyroll.

Lawrence and co went to Poroson to sell the pepper they had obtained as a reward from the Milone Trading Company. Holo complained that she was bored with all the business minutiae, but her eyes lit up when Lawrence told her about the existence of honey-soaked fruits. Later, at the Latparron Trading Company, where they visited to exchange the pepper for cash, they negotiated the price smoothly, but Holo kept a sharp eye on the swinging scales.
The Spice and Wolf anime series is based on the Japanese light novel series of the same name, written by Isuna Hasekura and illustrated by Jyuu Ayakura. ASCII Media Works published it from 2006 to 2019, with a total of 22 volumes. A manga adaptation by Keito Koume ran from September 2007 to December 2017. A sequel novel titled Wolf and Parchment written by Hasekura and illustrated by Hidori is currently ongoing.
The ongoing anime adaptation is directed by Hijiri Sanpei (Citrus), and produced by studio Passione (Interspecies Reviewers), with Takeo Takahashi (Ishura) as General Director. Meanwhile, Koji Haneda (Bakuman) is designing characters, Tomoko Koyama (Beast Tamer) is doing color design, Ayako Tan (The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten) is editing, and Kevin Penkin (Made in Abyss) is composing the music with Tomohiro Yoshida (Brave Witches) as Sound Director. The main cast members of the series are as follows:

Lawrence is a traveling merchant selling various goods from a horse-drawn cart. One day, he arrives at a village and meets a beautiful girl with the ears and tail of an animal! Her name is Holo the Wisewolf and she brings bountiful harvests. She wishes to return to her homeland, and Lawrence offers to take her. Now, the once-lonely merchant and the once-lonely wisewolf begin their journey north.
